Grange Medical Centre and Bartley Medical Centre are both family-orientated practices.
We are committed to providing our patients with the best quality medical care in an environment that is warm, caring, safe, professional and respectful.
We are a fully accredited practice with AGPAL. We pride ourselves in achieving and maintaining the highest level of patient care.
Some Doctors have admitting rights to Western Community Hospital and take an active role in Hospital care of Patients. Some of our doctors provide home visits, nursing home visits and hostel visits – by telephone request.
Please call one of our Clinic Numbers and you will be redirected to The Home Doctor Service. If you are experiencing Chest Pain or for any other Emergency, please call 000
Consultations are by Appointment. Each appointment is for one patient only. Standard Appointment time is 15 mins.
Please let the receptionist know if you would like to book a long appointment or if you need to book for additional family members. Sometimes delays can occur due to emergencies and other circumstances beyond our control but we do our best to minimize your waiting time.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please phone the clinic to cancel so that we can offer that appointment time to another patient.
Doctors in this practice may be contacted by phone during normal surgery hours. If the doctor is with a patient, a message will be taken and your call returned as soon as possible. If your call is urgent, you will always be put straight through to the doctor. Currently we have no direct email address to any of the Gp’s, however, if this is your only source of communication, you may email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Referrals will always require a consultation. At the discretion of each Doctor, repeat referrals may be provided at a cost of $10. This is payable on collection and a minimum of 2 days notice is required. Standard referrals are valid for one year only.
Prescriptions may be written during a consultation. If you need repeat prescriptions, we ask that you make an appointment to see one of our doctors, where the condition for which the prescriptions are written can be checked. Occasionally, a script will be given via Telephone request – this will attract a $10 charge payable on collection. Again this is at the doctor’s discretion.
Sometimes your doctor will order investigations such as blood tests or x-rays. For confidentiality reasons, please book in for a return appointment to discuss the results. Results WILL NOT be given over the phone.
Our practice is committed to ongoing preventative care. You will receive reminder notices for health care services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to receive these reminders, please speak with your Doctor.
